Hi All, This is a quick tutorial on how to install FruityWiFi v2.4 on NetHunter. I will fix a few minor issues on the next release, and I will do some changes on the interface to make full use of the screen. Note: You need to download the master.zip v2.4 from GitHub. The current version on NetHunter repositories is v2.2 and it will not work properly. I will push an updated version as soon as possible INSTALL- Download the zip file (v2.4) from github.com/xtr4nge/FruityWifi/archive/master.zip- Unzip the file and run ./install-FruityWifi.sh (This script will install all the dependencies and setups) Note: DO NOT RUN THE SCRIPT WITH SH, use Kali shell and run ./install-FruityWifi.sh- Start/Restart nginx and php5-fpm /etc/init.d/nginx restart /etc/init.d/php5-fpm restart
Go to http://localhost:8000 (for http) Go to https://localhost:8443 (for https) user: adminpass: admin - (minimum required) From MENU/Modules install: ap, api, mana, karma- Module/AP tab Config, and check NetHunter- Then install all the modules that you want. If you want to install all modules automatically ./install-modules.py Note: DO NOT RUN THE SCRIPT WITH SH, use Kali shell and run ./install-modules.pyMINOR CHANGESThe installation script for mana and karma needs be changed (I will amend this on the next release) Edit: /usr/share/fruitywifi/www/modules/mana/includes/install.sh Edit: /usr/share/fruitywifi/www/modules/karma/includes/install.sh #OLD cmd=`lsb_release -c |grep "jessie"`
#NEW cmd=`lsb_release -c |grep -iEe "jessie|kali|sana"`
Then... Exec: cd /usr/share/fruitywifi/www/modules/mana/includes/ chmod 755 install.sh ./install.sh Exec: cd /usr/share/fruitywifi/www/modules/karma/includes/ chmod 755 install.sh ./install.sh CHECK- The user fruitywifi needs to be part of the group inet- AP module should be v1.3 or above - Check that /etc/sudoers.d/fruitywifi contains: Defaults:fruitywifi umask_override Defaults:fruitywifi umask=0022

Are we sure everything is going so smoothly? I can see a lot of errors...
P.S. I am using OP2 with latest NH.

Hi lbo, The only one relevant is: usermod: user 'inet' does not exist
It should be:
usermod -a -G inet fruitywifi Run that command manually, follow the steps on the first post, and you will be fine.
I edited the the full log that you added as it is too noisy. I leave what you can consider errors, but the only one that affects the installation is the one mentioned above.
Note: I already amended the script to add the user fruitywifi into the group inet.

Thanks for the hint! Regarding mana and karma repos... will u apply the patches as well in new releases?
Regarding the other errors in the installation logs I have pasted... any clue why?
For example about IFPLUGD

Hi lbo, No prob Did it work for you fine then? about mana and karma, Yes, I will add the changes in the new release of each module. about the errors, some of those are related with other distributions/versions, for example ifplug that gives some compatibility issues on some RPi versions. Other errors are not relevant like the backup one, as it was the first time that you installed it, so a previous version was not there. I should add some extra checks (I know), but the errors that you can see in the log (except for the one discussed) are not affecting the installation or the device. regards,

Yes, I'm using Oneplus one with an external Ralink RT5370.
You can also use the internal WiFi card with FruityWiFi. It will not work with mana or karma (or any module requiring monitor mode), but you can use it as an AP. There are a few modules that you can use (with the internal one), for example, FruityProxy, Captive, DNSspoof, URLsnarf, etc.
To use the internal WiFi card, turn off wireless on the device, and then select wlan0 from FruityWiFi/Menu/Config/IN-interface

Hi xtr4nge, the new version with Nethunter support is just that good Clean mobile interface with killer options... I installed it on my OP1 as described in Post #1 including all needed fixes under "CHECK" I added all Modules to play around with your script. Started mon0 on my external interface under "config" and set the IN - OUT Option for my needs. I can start the AP mode, connect a device and i´m online - it was easy! But, i´m unable to start Karma or Mana. A click on "Start" brings a windows "Loading fruits..." and that´s it. Back in the MainMenu it is still disabled Is there something i missed ? Tcpdump doesn´t work for me. It is enabled but no logs are generated. Is there a way to debug ? The FruityProxy works well per default in my short test. I´m just happy with the first version so far, great job!

Hi bene, I hope you are well. Thanks a lot for the report and I'm glad that you got it working without problems About Karma and Mana, They should work fine if you made the changes under "Minor Changes". Please note that it will not work (mana or karma) with the internal WiFi card (that is what I noticed on my initial tests), but it works without problems with an external Ralink RT5370. (remamber to change the [AP] mode on Menu/Config to Hostapd/Hostapd-Mana/Hostapd-Karma before to start the access point to enable Karma or Mana) I will take a look to TCPDUMP and I will let you know, as I didn't check it yet I will post some notes on how to add "Custom Commands" to start|stop FruityWiFi and how to make a quick access to the Web Interface. Thanks a lot regards,

Hi xtr4nge, yes i´m well - hope you, too! Since i had some problems with my device i reinstalled my OP1 tonight with CM13 and Nethunter. Karma and tcpdump is working well now. Don´t know excatly what the problem was. Going to add your Custom Commands now and play around with the brand new release for nethunter. FruityWiFi is better and more stable for me than the default Mana Wireless Toolkit that comes with Nethunter. I´m so happy to see your working on it! BIG THANKS! Cheers.

Hi bene, Cool, good to know that everything is working fine on your OP1 You can also add a shortcut to FruityWiFi Web Interface, using Google-Chrome/Menu/Add-To-Home-Screen Let me know if you have any question regards,

Hi ghostman, If you are new on FruityWiFi, I recommend to start with just a few modules (don't use the install-Modules script yet). Install a couple of modules and start playing with them (AP and API modules are required as minimum) Install the core (zip file from GitHub) and follow the steps and recommendations on the initial post. Then, install some well-known modules (or tools that you already know) such as urlsnarf, dnsspoof, sslstrip, start the AP and play with them. After be sure that everything is working, move to Mana and Karma (follow the steps on the initial post again). Then you can start adding any module that you want Check the forum for references and info about how to use the modules. Please note that after download a module from Menu/Modules, it would require extra dependencies (after access the module page/edit, you will see a red text: "install") Note: Do not use " apt-get install fruitywifi*" because the version in the repository is not supported by NetHunter yet. regards,
