I tried today without success to download FruityWifi. I have a RPi 2 running current version of Raspbian, fresh install and update/upgrade sudo update pi@Symmetry-RPI ~ $ sudo apt-get install fruitywifi Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package fruitywifi so I tried doing it manually using this ---downloaded the git file to local directory.... cd ~ wget github.com/xtr4nge/FruityWifi/archive/master.zip--- unzipped it... unzip master.zip --- enable execution chmod +x FruityWiFi-master/install-FruityWifi.sh (which didnt seem to work so I did this) sudo bash FruityWifi-master/install-FruityWifi.sh The script seemed to execute well, with the exception of two directory errors at the onset, until I reached the section where it asks for country and personal info to make a key. After entering that data, things go wrong and I get lots of cp errors and it aborts final configuration. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or why I can not access the apt-get build file? Looks like a great product and looking forward to integrating it into my project. Cheers, Rick

Hi rickbase1 APT is only available on Kali Linux. For any other Debian based system you need to use the files and script from GitHub. You need to execute the installation script from inside the folder FruityWifi-master. wget https://github.com/xtr4nge/FruityWifi/archive/master.zip unzip master.zip cd FruityWifi-master/ ./install-FruityWifi.sh REF: github.com/xtr4nge/FruityWifi/wiki/Installregards,

Thanks for the info, but just a note that when I follow your instructions I get root errors when trying to run the script from /Fruity-Wifi-master. Just to be sure I started with a fresh Raspbian img and started over again after running an update. wget and unzip worked fine but when I ran the script I get lots of errors. I ultimately stopped it mid way, but here is a excerpt of its log.
To fix it I just ran your commands but added sudo to the script ./ command and then it installed fine.
btw, I have another app that needs to listen to port 2071. It looks like nginx will support two instances by adding a new server instance in the fruitywifi.conf file. Have you had any experience/success doing this?
Awesome app, thanks for your effort and support!
Thanks for your help,
Rick
pi@Symmetry-RPI ~ $ cd FruityWifi-master/

Hi rickbase1, I didn't mentioned, but yes, you need to run the script as root (or sudo). Yes, you can run Nginx on different ports and with different setups. You can use the module nginx as template for your config file for port 2071. Check the config files inside vhost and php5-fpm folders. github.com/xtr4nge/module_nginxregards,
