Everything will work, but you need an external WiFi-dongle as the wireless card needs to be recognised as a physical interface such as wlan0 by the VM.
Check the forum, there's a post about supported wifi-dongles, but any Atheros chipset will avoid you a few headaches

Hi You will use the 3g-dongle to provide internet to FruityWiFi (OUT interface), but to use the wireless attacks such us creating a Fake [AP] you need an IN interface (example wlan0), and that is why you need an external WiFi-dongle. If you are not planning to use the wireless attacks, you can use some of the modules changing the ACTION interface (sniff | Inject), for example to eth0.
In summary, the IN interface is used to create a wireless AP, but without a physical and supported USB WiFi dongle, the wireless attacks will not work.

No prob at all. You can start checking with a live CD/USB to verify if the wireless card is supported by Hostapd and if all FruityWiFi modules are working fine before to install the OS in your laptop.
